Lallemand Health Solutions will showcase science-backed biotic innovations at Vitafoods Europe, with new research and expanded offerings across women’s health, cognition, immune support, and healthy aging. The new biotics are differentiated with robust science, regulatory readiness, and meaningful consumer relevance, the company reported.

Probiotics for Women’s Health Across Life Stages

Lallemand will present a women’s health portfolio featuring clinically-documented strains relevant to pregnancy, intimate health, digestive comfort during menstruation, and more.

Prenatis, which was evaluated in a clinical study on 180 pregnant women, was shown to help reduce diagnosed maternal infections and support the early establishment of a healthy gut microbiome, including in C-section-delivered newborns.

Lacidofil is demonstrated to offer microbial balance around C-section delivery, especially when taken proactively, helping mitigate antibiotic-associated infections.

For intimate health, L. plantarum Rosella is supported by six clinical studies involving over 800 women, showing benefits to support vaginal microbial balance for recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis following oral administration.

B. bifidum Rosell-71 was shown to offer digestive comfort during menstruation, including reduced bloating across menstrual cycles.

Cognitive Health

The company will unveil a new cognitive health product, Cerebiome, supported by a recent clinical study in gamers. The preliminary findings indicate that the biotic offers improvements in cognitive abilities, such as decreased reaction time and improvements in processing speed.

Healthy Aging

Lallemand Health Solutions will highlight Cerenity, a flagship probiotic designed to support mobility, strength, and quality of life through modulation of the gut-muscle axis.

In a recent clinical study, Cerenity demonstrated beneficial effects on physical performance and quality of life measures in aging populations.

The company’s healthy aging portfolio is also expanding with ingredients targeting cardiovascular and cognitive health benefits, as well.

Immuse for Immune Health

Immuse, which the company reports is the most documented postbiotic for immune support, will take center stage. Last year, the company announced a strategic partnership with Kirin Holdings Company to expand global access to the ingredient.
