Nuritas, an ingredient supplier that uses artificial intelligence to discover bioactive peptides, will showcase the results of recent clinical and consumer studies on PeptiStrong and PeptiSleep ingredients.
PeptiStrong is an ingredient containing cell-signaling peptides from plants, suitable for foods, beverages, and supplements.
The ingredient is evidenced to increase muscle protein synthesis, reduce muscle breakdown and exercise-induced inflammation, and lower myostatin while increasing energy. A recent study published in BMJ Nutrition, Prevention, & Health found that it enhanced strength, muscle endurance, and strength recovery in men and women at a dose of 2.4 grams per day.
PeptiStrong has also been tested in real-world case studies.
- The Kildare Gaelic football team was divided into PeptiStrong and control groups, and 80% of the PeptiStrong group reported feeling positive differences in training after a single dose. PeptiStrong doubled the response rate in athletes compared to those not using it.
- Irish judoka Dr. Shona Maguire incorporated PeptiStrong into her training and strength recovery routine after a knee injury and was able to return to international competition within eight weeks, Nuritas reported, and she reported faster adaptation and reduced muscle loss during rehabilitation.
“PeptiStrong reduced delayed onset muscle soreness and fatigue despite intense training and a demanding job,” Maguire said. “It allowed me to push harder in training and gave me confidence heading into competition.”
Brands such as MuscleTech, Codeage, NutraBio, The Feed, and Applied Nutrition have launched products with PeptiStrong in the past year. Applied Nutrition’s Creatine + Peptide was reported by The Vitamin Shoppe to be the brand’s top-performing SKU at the retailer.
PeptiSleep, Nuritas’ peptide ingredient for sleep support, underwent a recent clinical study and consumer sampling survey.
- A clinical study found that PeptiSleep supported sleep quality, with meaningful improvements in biometric data on REM, deep sleep, and total sleep, as well as heart rate variability.
- In a consumer sampling program, PeptiSleep generated 550 product reviews with an average 4.5-star rating. Most (70%) of respondents noticed an improvement in biometric sleep scores post-trial, and 79% said they would recommend PeptiSleep.
“With the latest studies and consumer engagements, PeptiStrong and PeptiSleep have moved from promise to proof,” said Nora Khaldi, PhD, founder and CEO of Nuritas. “Both peptide solutions have consistently delivered measurable outcomes, resonate with consumers, and appeal to mass market audiences.”
Nuritas will also have an AI robot at its booth for an accessible and interactive experience.
