Sylvie Binda, Vice President of R&D for Lallemand, Appointed to INRAE Scientific Council

She will serve a five-year term on the French national research institute.

Sylvie Binda, vice president of research and development at Lallemand Health Solutions, has been appointed to the scientific council of the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE) for a five-year term.

The newly-formed council includes 15 members of international academic, economic, and scientific communities to guide INRAE’s strategic research directions.

Binda, who is also vice president of European Microbiome Innovation for Health (EMIH), is recognized as a scientific leader in the business world. She is a microbiologist who has advanced research and innovation in probiotics, microbiome science, and nutrition. She participates in scientific associations and collaborative initiatives shaping the future of microbiome health.

“I feel both proud and humble: proud to have been recognized by my peers, and humble in the face of the weight of these responsibilities. I am deeply grateful to those who have supported me and excited to contribute to INRAE’s major scientific directions,” said Binda.
