Shaheen Majeed, global CEO and managing director of Sami-Sabinsa Group, will be a speaker during a session at the American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL)’s 86th annual meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The half-day education session brings together manufacturers and testing laboratories to discuss transparency, quality assurance, and consumer trust in the dietary supplements industry.

Majeed’s presentation, “Dietary Ingredient and Finished Product Manufacturer Perspectives on Testing Challenges and Independent Laboratory Partnerships,” will take place during the Dietary Supplements Working Group Education Session on Nov. 4 at 8:40 a.m. MST.

Majeed has unique insights into the critical relationship between manufacturers and independent testing laboratories. He will discuss real-world testing challenges for ingredient and finished product manufacturers, and explore strategies for strengthening partnerships to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

“The partnership between ingredient manufacturers and independent testing laboratories is fundamental to maintaining the integrity and safety of the dietary supplement industry,” said Majeed. “As we introduce increasingly sophisticated ingredients and formulations, open communication and collaborative problem-solving with our testing partners becomes essential. I look forward to sharing our experiences and learning from the laboratory community about how we can work together more effectively to meet the evolving demands of quality assurance and regulatory compliance across the supply chain.”

Following the session, Majeed will participate in a panel discussion at 11:00 a.m. alongside all session presenters, which include testing laboratory leaders and fellow manufacturers.
