Phynova Appoints Two New Team Members

Phynova, a company specializing in functional ingredients including the blood sugar management ingredient Reducose, has appointed two new team members.

Lisa Offringa, PhD, will serve as Phynova’s scientific affairs manager, where she will support customers and communicate the scientific evidence supporting the health benefits of its ingredients. During her career as a medical and nutritional ethnobotanist, she combined science with a strategic business acumen to deliver health solutions rooted in plants. She had previous roles in R&D, product development, and scientific affairs at companies like Brightseed Bio, Better Health VMS, and Magdalena Biosciences. Offringa earned her PhD in plant sciences from the New York Botanical Garden and CUNY, and completed her postdoctoral work at Stanford University School of Medicine and Nutrition at UC Berkeley.

Norvell previously worked at AstaReal Inc., a global supplier of natural astaxanthin, where she worked in both the wellness and pet care industries. She has a BS in psychology, a background as a collegiate athlete, and a foundation in B2B sales.
