At in-Vitality, a B2B event for the supplements industry, the NutraFocus presentations, held in conjunction with Making Cosmetics, will be centered around an industry-wide shift towards greater standards of science, ethical sourcing, and holistic approaches to health, event organizers reported. The presentations will showcase how industry leaders are taking steps beyond marketing hype to provide verifiable solutions.

Italy makes up 26-29% of the European food supplements sector, and the event serves as a hub for the broader European supplements industry.

The 20-minute presentations will be elevated beyond sales pitches, serving as a platform for companies to demonstrate scientific and market expertise. They will cover emerging clinical studies, vertically-integrated supply chains, and sophisticated market knowledge, the event organizers reported.

Several presentations will cover the scientific validation of supplements, patent portfolios, and the marketing claims backed up by valid science and strong business values. Sabinsa, a company with over 503 international patents, and Indena, which has supported more than 700 scientific studies, will discuss setting a new standard for ingredient credibility. KSM-66 Ashwagandha, which is supported by 24 human studies, demonstrates the value of researching a single ingredient many times, the event organizers noted.

Presentations will also cover vertical integration and traceability, and how to take control of a supply chain from farm to shelf. Sabinsa will discuss how its model, which integrates raw material cultivation and manufacturing, eliminates risk of adulteration. Similarly, Nating Italia will discuss its controlled supply chain which begins with the selection of fields in Italy to cultivate.

Discussions will also cover how the industry is moving from selling single ingredients to offering multi-component, condition-specific formulations that address complex health challenges. Distributors and providers such as Lehvoss, EMGI, Eurosyn, and Amita HC will discuss their roles as strategic partners, curating and distributing portfolios that provide solutions for market needs like metabolic health and cognitive function.

NutraFocus will take place at Theater 2 on November 20.
