Biotechnology company Loam has launched Prebiotic Fiber Formula, a blend of six prebiotic fibers designed to support digestion, immunity, metabolism, and mood. The company was founded by Dr. Karan Rajan, an NHS surgeon and health and wellness expert.

Today, 95% of adults don’t consume recommended amounts of fiber, Loam reports. The doctor-formulated supplement blends 10 grams of six prebiotic fibers sourced from upcycled plants, to deliver a wider range of benefits.

The fibers include:

  • Fibalance partially hydrolyzed guar gum
  • Tapioca fiber
  • Soluble wheat fiber
  • Soluble corn fiber
  • PreticX Prebiotic Complex (xylooligosaccharide)
  • BeniCaros soluble carrot fiber

“As a medical doctor who has seen the downstream effects of poor gut health: bloating, inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and GI disease, I realize we don’t have the right tools in modern society to help our microbiome flourish,” said Rajan. “Fiber was being treated as an afterthought when, in reality, it’s the foundation of our health. I created Loam to close the fiber gap with a formula that’s diverse, clinically grounded, and designed to work with the body, not against it.”
