LANDKIND Pure Salidroside Gains Informed Ingredient Certification

With recent research demonstrating benefits for athletic performance, Gnosis by Lesaffre announced its LANDKIND Pure Salidroside has obtained Informed Ingredient Certification by LGC, verifying that the ingredient has been tested for more than 285 substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The company said the ingredient can also make several structure-function claims for the sports/active nutrition market.

“The publication of our important clinical study in the peer-reviewed Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition has been central to securing both Informed Certification and a range of structure-function claims dedicated specifically to the branded LANDKIND Pure Salidroside,” said Hélène Charier, Gnosis regulatory and IP director. “This is also the first study to demonstrate that supplementing with salidroside — an active compound in the adaptogen Rhodiola rosea — exerts positive impacts on exercise performance.”

Structure-Function Claims

Based on the peer-reviewed study results, LANDKIND Pure Salidroside now has established structure-function claims covering four benefits that athletes and active consumers consider critical:

As a recognized adaptogen, more general structure-function claims were established for salidroside, including helping modulate the body’s response to physical activity and various stressors, and allowing for more efficient physiological adaptation to training demands. Salidroside’s antioxidant properties also help reduce exercise-induced oxidative stress, a key factor in muscle fatigue and recovery time.

Certified Safer for Athletes

The Informed Ingredient certification confirms LANDKIND Pure Salidroside ingredient has been tested for more than 285 banned substances, ensuring it meets the rigorous standards required for supplement products used for elite competition. Each batch undergoes third-party testing in ISO 17025-accredited labs.

While WADA itself does not certify ingredients, Informed Ingredient is internationally recognized for testing products against the WADA Prohibited List, ensuring a product’s integrity and suitability for drug-tested athletes.
