Herbalist & Alchemist, a practitioner-quality herbal products company founded by registered herbalist David Winston in 1982, has been certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for its dietary supplement manufacturing practices. The UL National Brand Certification Program assessed the extent to which an organization conforms to the applicable regulations and/or standards relevant to the products being manufactured.

Following an inspection of its current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and quality system, UL found that Herbalist & Alchemist was in conformance with National Brand Certification Program Requirements and Dietary Supplements CFR Part 111 et al, 21 CFR Part 121, 21 CFR Part 117 (subparts A, B, and F), 21 CFR Part 1 (subpart L), and NPA GMP Standard for Dietary Supplements. The scope is for the manufacturing and packaging of dietary supplement liquid and solid extracts.

“Having the UL certification symbol on our website and in other marketing materials is an easily recognizable symbol that tells our customers we have been inspected by a trustworthy certification authority, and were found to meet high standards,” said Beth Lambert, CEO of Herbalist & Alchemist. “While we have always been confident about our processes, this additional assurance makes it easier for consumers to assess a brand’s quality assurance.”

The certification (#i25-1229507-1) was issued in December and extends to March 22, 2029.
