Nutrition, health, and beauty company dsm-firmenich has completed a $10 million upgrade on its premix facility in Schenectady, NY, making it the company’s flagship premix hub in the Americas.

The facility was modernized for new benchmarks in quality standards, operational performance, and sustainability across premixes for food, dietary supplements, and infant formulas.

The upgrades include optimized GMP zoning, improved material flow, and expanded material conditioning capabilities through advanced powder technologies. The reinvention will strengthen quality assurance, operational efficiency, and audit readiness for customers, reducing risk and enabling faster and more reliable commercialization, the company reported.

The upgraded facility features:

• Quality and compliance controls, including purpose-built rooms, controlled environments, and globally-aligned processes
• 35 blenders, a centralized dispensary, optimized material flow, and improved advanced powder technologies and material conditioning
