Designs for Health has launched NeuroCalm Peptide, a once-daily capsule designed to support gut-brain axis balance and promote feelings of calm, emotional well-being, and stress resilience.

It features a novel combination of Lactium and heat-treated Lactobacillus gasseri CP2305, to provide support for people navigating everyday stressors. By supporting the gut-brain axis, the formula helps the body manage stress while promoting emotional balance, healthy digestion, cortisol regulation, and restorative sleep, the company reported.

“Chronic stress can disrupt how the body functions, affecting energy, hormones, gut function, and overall resilience,” said David M. Brady, ND, chief medical officer at Designs for Health. “NeuroCalm Peptide™ reflects the growing body of research on the gut-brain axis as a key regulator of the stress response. By pairing targeted peptide technology with a clinically studied postbiotic, this formula offers meaningful support for individuals experiencing occasional anxiety, perceived stress, and related sleep or digestive concerns.”

Lactium is a milk-derived bioactive peptide called alpha-casozepine, clinically studied to help reduce the effects of perceived stress, support the body’s relaxation response, and promote healthy sleep quality and normal cortisol levels during acute stress.

L. gasseri CP2305 is a heat-treated postbiotic isolated from the human gut. It is shown in clinical studies to support emotional balance, promote a healthy gut microbiome, and reduce the effects of mild stress and occasional anxiety. CP2305 was shown to reduce salivary cortisol by 30%, and may ease stress-related digestive disturbances and support parasympathetic nervous system activity.
