Eagle Diagnostics, a subsidiary of the preferred testing laboratory for professional sports leagues and Olympic teams, announced that products from Vireo’s Con-Crēt brand have earned TruShield Certification. The products include Con-Crēt’s creatine HCL capsules and powders, assuring that these products are free from banned substances under TruShield’s standards.

Con-Crēt creatine capsules and powders are more soluble and bioavailable than other forms, and can be micro-dosed based on body weight and workout intensity, providing creatine’s benefits without unwanted side effects, the company reported. Con-Crēt’s capsules and powders are designed to be used without a loading phase, which helps to avoid bloating, the company noted.

The TruShield certification was launched earlier this year, and relies on Eagle Diagnostics’ two decades of specialized anti-doping expertise; it was designed by the same laboratory trusted by professional sports leagues and Olympic programs for drug testing.

“It’s exciting to see sports nutrition brands adopting our certification program,” said Lori Bestervelt, senior VP of certification services. “In just a short time, our TruShield has gained so much momentum, and we are adding products weekly that have passed testing.”

“We have always been committed to delivering the cleanest, most effective creatine and performance supplements,” said Mark Faulkner, CEO and founder of Vireo. “Having the TruShield Certification reinforces our commitment by giving athletes and fitness enthusiasts confidence and transparency that our products are certified free from banned substances.”
