Biocodex, the company behind Florastor, has introduced Fullify, a probiotic developed to support appetite management and weight loss by working with the body’s natural gut-brain signaling.

Developed in France and now available in the U.S., Fullify contains Hafnia alvei HA4597, a clinically studied probiotic strain that supports the body’s natural fullness signals, the company said.

By working through the gut-brain pathway, Fullify reportedly stimulates production of ClpB, a protein that then stimulates production of GLP-1 and PYY hormones, leading to satiety, less hunger, and fewer cravings.

“For decades, weight management has been treated as a discipline problem when in reality, it’s deeply biological,” said Bindu Shah, chief marketing officer at Biocodex. “Fullify is the result of more than 10 years of research into the gut-brain pathway, translating real science into a completely new approach. This innovation isn’t about suppressing appetite or relying on stimulants; it’s about working with the body’s natural signaling to support more realistic and attainable outcomes. Bringing this level of science to a consumer product is incredibly meaningful to us, and it reflects a new direction for the category.”

Fullify was developed through more than 10 years of research, including two preclinical studies and a placebo-controlled human clinical trial. In a 12-week clinical study of more than 300 overweight adults following a calorie-restricted diet, participants taking Hafnia alvei HA4597 demonstrated significantly better outcomes than those following diet alone. Individuals in the Fullify group were 50% more likely to lose more than 4% of their body weight compared with those in the placebo group.

An additional survey-based study was conducted with consumers, which revealed meaningful changes beyond weight loss. Users in this study reported improved eating behaviors, increased feelings of fullness after meals, and reduced cravings compared with baseline.

Made exclusively in France and used in Europe since 2023, Fullify should be taken twice daily with meals.
