Cosmax, a global CDMO specializing in beauty and health products, was named among the World’s Top 500 Sustainable Growth Companies by Time Magazine. The annual list evaluates thousands of companies worldwide based on revenue growth, financial stability, and environmental performance, highlighting companies that demonstrate long-term, sustainable value creation. Cosmax ranked 346th overall in its first appearance on the list.

Cosmax placed sixth among all companies in South Korea and ranked 10th globally within the cosmetics industry, showing a growing global influence of the Korean beauty sector. Other South Korean companies included were in the technology, mobility, retail, and entertainment segments.

Cosmax’s recognition reflects its ongoing commitment to integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in its global operations. The company aligns its strategy with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on eco-conscious research and innovation, carbon-neutral manufacturing practices, and the development of resilient, transparent supply chains.

Cosmax launched a 2050 carbon-neutral roadmap, designed to enhance its environmental management systems across global operations. The company also reported that it is prioritizing human rights governance, supplier accountability, and disclosure transparency, helping to mitigate supply chain risk and meet evolving global standards.

For Cosmax NBT USA, the dietary supplement subsidiary of Cosmax, the recognition signals to brand partners that they are working with an organization backed by global operational discipline, financial stability, and ESG leadership, the company reported, translating to lower risk and more confidence in long-term partnerships.

Integrating sustainable growth, ethical sourcing and supply chains, transparency, and ethical governance matters to brands facing heightened scrutiny from regulators, retailers, and consumers, Cosmax reported.

“Cosmax’s recognition by Time reinforces what we experience every day as part of the Cosmax group: a deep commitment to responsible growth, scientific excellence, and long-term value creation,” said Jay Ahn, CEO, Cosmax NBT USA. “As the nutrition and health arm of the organization, we work closely to emulate these ESG-driven practices in our own operations, applying the same rigor and transparency to functional foods and dietary supplements that Cosmax has established in beauty.”

On Feb. 11, experts from Cosmax NBT will share insights into trends shaping today’s dietary supplement market in a webinar with Nutraceuticals World, highlighting flavor innovation, next-gen applications, and emerging health benefits. Register for free here.
