Bioenergy Life Science (BLS) announced the launch of PureSweet, an ultra-pure Rebaudioside M (Reb M) ingredient. The sweetener delivers a clean, sugar-like taste with zero calories, no bitterness, and no aftertaste.

“Formulators have long faced a difficult trade-off between clean label and clean flavor,” said Marianne McDonagh, vice president of sales at BLS. “PureSweet changes that equation. It gives brands a plug-and-play solution for achieving deep sugar reduction while enhancing taste and maintaining consumer trust.”

Reb M is a steviol glycoside extracted from the stevia leaf. PureSweet Reb M is exceptionally pure, BLS noted, and contains less of the impurities responsible for sensory off-noted found in other stevia-based sweeteners.

In beverage applications, PureSweet can replace 70% of sugar while maintaining full flavor integrity. It can be directly swapped into existing formulations, according to the company.

“PureSweet is more than just a sweetener. It’s a platform for innovation,” said McDonagh. “With this launch, we’re showcasing how our proprietary technology delivers functional, health-forward solutions that keep pace with evolving consumer expectations.”

PureSweet is suitable for most low-sugar or zero-sugar formulations, including but not limited to beverages, shakes, meal replacements, frozen desserts, baked goods, confectionary, and dietary supplements including gummies, BLS reported.
